Interested in nature since the age of 13, he has been active in several naturalist associations in the Limousin region, including France Nature Environnement, the Conservatoire des Espaces Naturels, and SEPOL, of which he was president at the time of its transformation into a territorial delegation of the LPO.

A professional in accounting, he naturally served as treasurer in all the naturalist and environmental associations in which he was involved.

Now retired, he is committed at the national level to continuing his volunteer work, which has been ongoing for more than fifty years.
